DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com is a great free service that does just what the domain name says – it lets you know if your site is up on the internet. This is very useful, as my ISP often has local caching problems that affects websites I work on (thanks Verizon).
DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com was created by Alex Payne and recently purchased by Bweeb, Inc. Site5 as a social media marketing tool and this is a great business move. For a very low cost, this web hosting company gets a new stream of quality traffic to their site through a highly viral site.
This represents social media at its finest, and this small website turned from a hobby into a nice payout for the developer. Traffic was up to 80,000 unique daily visitors.

I have a suspicion that Twitter.com is one of the most searched for websites, as the site went down back in November when it was experiencing uptime issues.
Think of a similar widget you could build to naturally drive traffic to your site, or download the source code and create your own uptime checker.

It seems that Web Hosting review sites do nothing but arbitrage search traffic.
Sorry to bother you again, but I cannot download the source. Can you help me out pls?
Great idea! Wish I had the money to buy a website like that. But I’ll try the source code. Thanks!

I need a design similar to the everyonedownorjustme site, and I was wondering if you or your readers could point me in the right direction?
I keep listening to the news talk about getting free online traffic so I have been looking around for the best ways to market my site. I can’t believe a simple idea like downforeveryoneorjust me can make money and I cant 🙁
I don’t usually like small web based services but the down for everyone or just me site is a great tool.
really educational information from site5. Never believed someone could make money from a simple downtime checking tool.
This is a fast loading tool, do you know who the site5 webhost owner is and if they do large traffic deals?
I do not do coding, but downforeveryoneorjustme has been a great tool to quickly checkup on a website.
