We compiled a list of the top 20 expensive keywords on Google and grouped them into categories based on user searches.
These are transactional keywords that are paid for with Google Ads. These are the most valuable keywords people type in to buy goods and services.
Using data from an in-house keyword research database and Google’s Keyword Tool, we compiled the top 10,000 most used advertising keywords and organized them into main markets. These represent English language searches over the last three months.

The most expensive keywords are all finance related, with the exception of the legal profession. Google is capitalizing on people’s need for money and insurance, and making a good business out of serving PPC ads for these niches.

It makes more sense to run adsense ads with mini sites optimized for those keywords. That way you cash in on the high value of those keywords. Just sayin.
Pretty good ideas on how to section your content to do better in Google for the most competitive niches. If you simply stumbled upon these expensive ad prospects the capital required to attain a top position would be prohibitive.
Enormously challenging to get a good ROI out of the top keywords, we are competing against fortune 500 companies.

Exactly, if you have a website that ranks well for these keywords you will generate a ton of revenue.

This is not a surprise, especially since there has always been such high competition for the top three — legal and lawsuit-related keywords I would have thought to be higher.
